RAID 1 does the exact opposite: it improves fault tolerance by storing the same data in two separate drives. This is because if one drive fails, the data stored in the RAID 0 array will become inaccessible. While RAID 0 significantly improves the read and write times, you’re twice as likely to lose your data.
RAID 0 “stripes” or splits the data and files into smaller parts and simultaneously stores them in two or more disks.
